More expensive than PCX 160, what are the advantages of the Honda ADV 160?

New Honda ADV 160 officially launched in Indonesia. The large adventure-style scooter is equipped with several changes, including a bigger engine than before. President Director of Astra Honda Motor (AHM) Keiichi Yasuda said, the New Honda ADV 160 is the successor to the ADV 150 which was launched for the first time in 2019 and is a new choice in Indonesia.

More expensive than PCX 160, what are the advantages of the Honda ADV 160?

"With improvements on various sides, the New Honda ADV 160 is increasingly presenting a different driving experience, whether used for exploring with joy or also for daily use," said Yasuda in Cikarang, West Java, Friday (1/7/2022).

So what are the comparisons between ADV 160 and PCX 160?

Design First, it's a matter of design, as you know, Honda kicked off the adventure scooter segment by launching the ADV 150 and then the ADV 160. This motorbike is the younger brother of the big X-ADV scooter. In terms of design, the ADV 160 is not much different from the ADV 150. However, there are visible improvements in the body lines, namely the front part of the body and the simpler side of the body.

The PCX 160 is more elegant because it is designed as a motorbike that carries comfort. The headlights are large with accents like eyebrows, and the rear body doesn't have too many curves.

The ADV 160 feature has several new features to make it more frightening. First, the wind screen has a higher size and consists of 2 levels of height that can be adjusted without the need to unscrew the bolts. Another update is a fully digital indicator panel with complete information including Smart Key indicator, HSTC Indicator, Oil Change Indicator, Battery Indicator, Idling Stop Indicator, Trip Meter, Fuel Consumption Indicator, RPM, Trip Duration, Digital Clock, and ABS Indicator.

More expensive than PCX 160, what are the advantages of the Honda ADV 160?

Larger luggage capacity which was 28 liters to 30 liters. Can be used to insert helmets and other items to support daily activities.

The Honda ADV 160 is even more sophisticated thanks to the HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) feature. A feature that prevents skid tires but is only available on the ABS type. Just like the ADV 160, the Honda PCX 160 is also equipped with HSTC traction control. The panel meter is fully digital, and has a USB type power outlet. Striped front and rear tires, 14 inches front and 13 inches rear. The difference is that the ADV 160 already uses a tube-type rear suspension so that the suspension rebounds better and is more comfortable. This type of suspension was used in the ADV 150 and was the first in Honda's automatic lineup. Meanwhile, the PCX 160 still uses the regular model.

Machine

The new Honda ADV 160 is powered by a 160cc 4-valve eSP+ engine, liquid cooled, with a PGM-FI injection combustion system. which is basically the same as having the PCX 160.

The new engine is able to support the user's driving style with greater power, reaching 11.8 kW at 8,500 rpm. Torque is abundant, up to 14.7 NM at 6,500 rpm.

Based on the results of internal tests with the WMTC-EURO 3 method, fuel consumption shows the figure of 45 km/liter (ISS feature on), so that it can travel up to 364 km in one full refueling.

On paper, the new generation of PCX carries a 160 cc SOHC 4 valve engine complete with eSP+ technology with 12:1 engine compression. The PCX 160 piston diameter is 60 mm with a stroke length of 55.5 mm. As a result, the power released by the PCX 160 is also greater, reaching 16.1 tk at 8,500 rpm and 15 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

Dimensions

The dimensions of the ADV 160 are 2,031 mm long, 796 mm wide and 1,309 mm high. The wheelbase is 1,315 mm, the lowest distance to the ground is 181 mm, the seat height is 817 mm, the empty weight is 139 kg, and the tank capacity is 12 liters. Meanwhile, the PCX 160 is slightly smaller, 1,936 long, 742 wide and 1,108 mm high.

The wheelbase is also slightly shorter, namely 1,313 mm and the lowest distance to the ground is only 135 mm. For postures that are not too tall the PCX 160 will be more comfortable because the view is lower than the ADV 160 which is 764 mm. The empty weight is 131 kg for the CBS type and 132 kg for the ABS type. But the tank capacity is only 8.1 liters.

Fight the specifications of the Honda ADV 160 vs Yamaha NMAX

PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) officially released the Honda ADV 160 on July 1, 2022. The launch of this adventure-designed motorbike was carried out directly in the Cikarang area, West Java.

As a new motorbike, it is certain that the Honda ADV 160 has many new changes compared to the ADV 150. Regarding the full specifications and features of the ADV 160, which have actually been discussed in previous articles, this time it is time to compare the ADV 160 with one of its rivals, the Yamaha NMAX.

Fight the specifications of the Honda ADV 160 vs Yamaha NMAX

1. Comparison of designs

Yamaha NMAX
Yamaha NMAX

By design, you could say the two differ quite a lot. The Honda ADV 160 is designed as an adventure-style motorbike, which is made to devour various kinds of terrain. Hence, AHM pinned long legs on this motorbike. But don't worry, the ADV 160 has a seat height of 780 mm with a ground clearance of 165 mm.

Meanwhile, the Yamaha NMAX is a large scooter whose design is more sporty. With an aggressive design. As a sporty motorbike, the seat height of the Yamaha NMAX is of course much friendlier for petite riders, only 765 mm.

2. Comparison of features

Yamaha NMAX itself has fairly sophisticated features, starting from LED headlamps and stop lamps, dual channel ABS brakes, digital instrument panels, smart key systems, power outlets, TCS (Traction Control System), keyless and Y-Connect which can connect smartphones. with motorcycle.

Meanwhile, the Honda ADV 160 has full LED lights with DRL, ABS brakes, keyless, USB charger, ESS (Emergency Stop Signal), ISS (Idling Stop System), and most recently HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control).

Fight the specifications of the Honda ADV 160 vs Yamaha NMAX

What is highlighted from the ADV 160 is the HSTC feature and its new and complete full digital instrument panel, with information on rpm, tachometer, trip duration, battery indicator, outside temperature indicator, average fuel consumption, instant fuel consumption, usage indicator. engine oil, hours, also Trip A and Trip B.

3. Comparison of engine performance

Moving on to performance matters, the Honda ADV 160 carries a 160 cc 4 valve ESP PGM-FI engine with liquid cooling. This machine is claimed to be able to spit out power up to 15.8 hp at 8,500 rpm, with torque reaching 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

The Yamaha NMAX uses a liquid-cooled 155 cc 1-cylinder 4-valve engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology, which is capable of producing up to 15.1 hp of power at 8,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

Finally, one of the determining factors is the price. Yamaha NMAX is currently being sold from IDR 31,115,000 to IDR 35,250,000. Meanwhile, the Honda ADV 160 is sold from IDR 36 million to IDR 39,250,000.

So what do you prefer, which one of these two motorbikes do you prefer?

Honda Scoopy vs Yamaha Fazzio, Which is the Most Efficient Gasoline

Discussing the matter of consumption of fuel oil (BBM) is more efficient, it all depends on how to drive.

But what if the Honda Scoopy duels against the Yamaha Fazzio to determine who is more fuel efficient.

The latest Honda Scoopy is claimed to be more fuel efficient because it uses the new eSAF (enhanced Smart Architecture Frame) frame technology.

In addition, this 110cc engine is equipped with eSP (enhanced Smart Power) technology.

ESP technology is integrated with the ACG Starter to start the engine smoother and quieter.

Meanwhile, Yamaha Fazzio uses technology that is no less sophisticated, namely the Blue Core Hybrid.

Blue Core Hybrid technology makes this 125cc automatic motorbike more powerful, reliable and environmentally friendly.

Which of the two retro scooters is more fuel efficient?

Honda Scoopy when used daily activities, the average consumption of gasoline is 55.7 km / liter.

Test conditions also varied, with road contours filled with inclines and tandem.

Meanwhile, PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) claims that Scoopy's fuel consumption is 59 km/liter.

Moving on to Yamaha Fazzio, the engine doesn't immediately scream but rises slowly.

Then the speed increases in rhythm with the increase in engine speed.

The combination of an engine that doesn't 'scream' easily plus hybrid technology at low speed is effective in making the Fazzio economical on fuel consumption.

Used for daily use with various road conditions, the average consumption of gasoline can reach 51.6 km / liter!

These results are obtained in driving conditions, sometimes it gets stuck, sometimes it goes smoothly, sometimes it's slow, sometimes the pol gas gets stuck.

The method used is of course full to full which is done 3 times and taken on average, because on Fazzio's speedometer there is no info on fuel consumption.

Of course, if the driving method is calm and the road conditions are consistently smooth, it is possible to get a number that is more economical than that.

For the record, the above results were obtained by a rider with a posture of 173 cm, weighing 64 kg and an aggressive driving style.

Yamaha R15 V4 vs Honda CBR150R Complete Comparison, Which One is Worth Buying?

Yamaha R15 V4 vs Honda CBR150R Complete Comparison, Which One is Worth Buying?

Yamaha answered the challenge of the Honda CBR150R by launching the R15 V4. Now, the latest generation of Yamaha's entry-level sports bikes has been caught making major changes in the exterior sector and supporting features.

Yamaha R15 V4 vs Honda CBR150R Complete Comparison, Which One is Worth Buying?

With all the revisions taking place in the R15 arguably brings a new standard for the 150 cc class full fairing bike. Comes with 2 variants, this bike is sold with a price tag of IDR 38.9 million for the V4 Connected variant (standard) and IDR 43.5 million for the M Connected ABS option.

From the pricing set by YIMM, the R15's price tag is now more expensive than the Honda CBR150R. It is possible that the manufacturer is confident because the standard version can also be changed in the display until it is injected with the new Y-Connect feature. And it doesn't feel wrong to call the R15 the pioneer of the most advanced motor in its class.

all new R15 Connected

For comparison, the all new Honda CBR150R is sold at the lowest price of IDR 36,180 million and IDR 41,880 million for the most expensive variant of its ABS. Then there is a more expensive difference R15 of IDR 2,720,000 for the bottom trim and IDR 2,620,000 for the highest variant.

With that price difference, which one is roughly superior based on the data of each manufacturer? Let's review them one by one.

CBR150R

Yamaha R15 V4 vs Honda CBR150R design

This part is actually difficult to distinguish and becomes a taste for each one. But we're trying to help explain. The Yamaha R15 V4 and M have a design language that takes the idea from the YZR-M1 racing bike and the YZF-R1 and YZF R7 superbikes. The face changed completely to appear aggressive with the use of M-Duct and behind it is one LED projector lamp.

R15 V4

Sweetening part of the fascia is attached a DRL (daytime running light) that squints exactly the silhouette of an eye. While the fairing and stern design is still attractive, making it the sportiest entry level sport model.

The latest Honda CBR150R carries a fresher design. From the front, it has similarities with its older brother CBR250RR, as well as for the appearance of the lights in the rear which are separated into 2 parts. The body part of the fairing has also changed, now there is a kind of fin on the top of the left and right sides. The visual undercowl was also revised which when viewed is more integrated with the components of the fairing.

R15 dan R15M

You could say the Yamaha R15 V4 appears more aggressive than the Honda CBR150R. The design dares to apply the visuals of its moge products. But if you want to have a sports bike with a dynamic look, the Honda CBR150R can fulfill that desire.

Completeness of Features

In terms of features, on paper the R15 V4 is superior. The standard version is equipped with Y-Connect connectivity technology that can be connected to a device to find out important information from the vehicle. Starting from the position of the last motor when connected, call notifications, messages, malfunction notifications, to service reminders. As a standard feature, there is an assist and slipper clutch embedded, rear front LED lights, and a full digital meter panel.

As for the R15M option, all of the above features are available, but it is even more complete because there is also a Quick Shifter (up), Traction Control System, Dual ABS, an R1-style meter panel (has Street and Track settings), and there is already an engine cut off button.

Panel meter

The Honda CBR150R applies full LED lights both in front, rear, and sein markers. There is also an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) feature that functions to turn on both turn signals automatically when the driver is braking hard.

The meter panel is full LED with a negative display but does not yet have a Street and Track interface settings like in the latest R15. The highest type is only equipped with a 1-channel ABS system in front.

Unfortunately, this bike is not equipped with a Quick Shifter, traction control, bluetooth connectivity, and engine cut off like in its rival R15. But already using the Assist and Slipper Clutch which is standard in the old R15 model.

r15 v4

Dimensions R15 V4 vs Honda CBR150R

In terms of dimensions, both of them have compact bodies. The R15 is 1,990 mm long, 725 mm wide, and 1,135 mm high. For the set the wheelbase is 1, 325 mm, the ground clearance is 170 mm, and the seat height reaches 815 mm.

Overall, the weight of the standard R15 V4 Connected is 137 kilograms and 140 kilograms for the R15M Connected ABS). Its fuel tank is capable of downing gasoline up to 11 liters.

While the Honda CBR150R has a length of 1,983 mm, a width of 700 mm, and a height of 1,077 mm. He has a wheelbase of 1,310 mm, a ground clearance of 160 mm, and a seat height of up to 1,310 mm. The total dry weight of the bike is 137 kilograms for the standard version and 139 for its ABS variant.

Design the Legs and Braking

The Yamaha R15 V4 and R15M continue to wear an upside down front suspension and are combined monoshock behind it. Both wheels use cast wheel type with tire profiles of 100/80 at the front and 140/70 at the rear.

The swingarm is superior to the CBR150R because it already uses aluminum material with a banana arm appearance like in a large-engined motor.

The latest Honda CBR150R is now caught with a brand-new suspension upside down Showa SFF-BP. On the back wear a monoshock with a Pro-Link system with no tuning options. It's a pity that the swingarm on the motor has not changed, it still uses a box model and is not yet made of aluminum.

As for the front wheels, it uses a racing model with tires of size 100/80. While at the rear use a tire size of 130/70 and already ring 17 inches as well.

Yamaha R15 V4 vs Honda CBR150R engine performance

Admittedly, on paper again the R15 V4 managed to fumigate the Honda CBR150R. It has a maximum power of up to 19 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The output is channeled through a 6-speed manual transmission and is supported by VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology.

That output can be obtained thanks to the concoction of a 155 cc SOHC engine, 4 valves, 1-cylinder, liquid cooling, injection atomizer, and channeled through a 6-speed manual transmission.

While the Honda CBR150R only has a maximum power of 16.8 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and its peak torque is 14.4 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The engine already uses 149.16 cc DOHC, liquid cooling, injection atomizer, and 6-speed manual transmission.

Now with the comparison of specifications, features, and prices of each bike, do you prefer the R15 V4/M or Honda CBR150R?

Comparing the Interior of the New Xpander Cross and the All New BR-V

After discussing the exterior design, the next comparison of the New Xpander Cross and the All New BR-V continues to the interior. The two products made by Mitsubishi and Honda compete in a fairly similar segment, namely a low SUV with the ability to seat three rows or seven passengers.

Comparing the Interior of the New Xpander Cross and the All New BR-V

The Luxury Side of the Xpander Cross

This approach to luxury is the common thread for Xpander Cross. Following the update on its twin brother MPV Xpander, the changes to the Xpander Cross are closer to the comfort side and don't forget the premium side of this product.

The dashboard, for example, now uses the latest design, a horizontal axis design that is equipped with soft pad material in several parts. This dashboard design makes the interior look more modern with firm lines and a combination of bright color touches on the AC grille to give a modern impression.

With the status of an update, some of the details of changes to this model are in the meter cluster section with an 8-inch LCD screen and a steering wheel that resembles the Pajero Sport. This steering wheel also features setting buttons on the left and right for audio, cruise control features, telephone connections and menu access. The leather-wrapped steering wheel can also be adjusted with a telescopic tilt for easy driving comfort.

Move to the middle. There is an AC setting with a digital touch with a physical button that makes it easy to operate. This air conditioner also uses a micron filter for cleaner air circulation. For convenience, there is now wireless charging at the bottom of the center console.

Another major concern is the 9-inch touch screen head unit with a floating model. This makes the modern simple impression on the Xpander Cross dashboard even more assertive. In addition, the ability of this head unit is diverse, it can connect with mobile phones via Android Auto and Apple Carplay and displays a 360-degree camera feature that is already installed in the vehicle. Another comfort comes from the use of synthetic leather which has a heat guard feature with two tone black and navy blue coloring. This makes the experience of sitting in the seat comfortable and avoids the heat. Mitsubishi also provides detailed stitching in the center of the seat.

Xpander Cross has established itself as a family vehicle. This is also felt by the abundance of storage space throughout the cabin. Storage space is present behind the first row seats, at the bottom of the trunk, arm rest with cup holders, floor console on the first row armrests, side pockets on the instrument panel aka the passenger and driver knees and don't forget storage in the door trim area as well as the dashboard. Charging is also a perceived convenience. In addition to wireless charging on the center console, there are also USB ports in the first and second rows and a power socket for easy charging.

Mitsubishi also explained the ease of setting up seat configurations in all rows of vehicles. This makes the need for space during driving can be maximized. For example, for luggage, you can fold the second or third row seats.

All New BR-V, SUV Value

Moving on to the latest BR-V. Honda uses three core values in its BR-V interior design approach. The first is a value SUV that comes with a modern interior design with the use of quality materials. This is to show strong character and comfort. Next is the MPV value that comes from the spacious interior and the many utilities for the family vehicle lifestyle. Lastly is driving pleasure. This is obtained from the comfort offered in the interior of the latest BR-V.

The firm design in the cockpit area provides a more private space for the driver which also affects the focus of driving. The center console design is further raised to emphasize the separation between the driver and passenger compartments. This makes the driving experience more comfortable and enjoyable.

Regarding the modern touch, the latest BR-V uses a 4.2-inch TFT screen cluster meter. This screen displays various information such as fuel consumption, trip gauge, outside temperature and clock in a wide screen display. Through this screen, the driver can also set the unit of measurement, keyless access, lighting, door and window operations as well as the Honda Sensing feature in the top variant.

The main concern comes to the 7-inch head unit. This device can provide various features such as radio, audio video, hands free telephone and connection to the user's smartphone. The entertainment side comes from six speakers scattered throughout the cabin. In addition, this head unit is also a place to display the Honda LaneWatch display and rear camera when parking.

The MPV side of the BR-V comes from the abundance of storage or utility space throughout the cabin. There is an armrest console in the center of the first row for driving comfort. There is a storage space to store small items such as wallets and others. A cup holder is present in the center of the console and eight water bottle holders are scattered throughout the cabin. Storage compartments are also present in several pockets behind the front seats.

For the seat configuration, the third seat can be folded 50/50 dive down which creates more luggage space. Luggage space can also be adjusted and increased by moving the board to a lower position. Personal items can be stored at the bottom of the board in the upper position even when the third row seats are used.

The comfort side is given to the leather interior lining that is present on the armrests and door sides. Armrests on the second row seats are also present to provide comfort for rear passengers.

Regarding charging, the latest BR-V provides ports in several places. First in the console area, then in the second row seats and also the third row. All of them can be connected to 12 V devices, not to mention USB A or C ports. The All New BR-V comes in three interior color combinations. There are gray and black for a sporty look, gray and mocha gray for an elegant look. Finally, there are silver and black for a premium and smart look.

That was the brief comparison of the interior of the New Xpander Cross and the All New BR-V. Each of them provides a different approach which of course just depends on the tastes of potential consumers and also the availability of available funds.

Choice of Motor Make Touring, New Honda ADV 160 or CB150X?

The Honda manufacturer has a motorcycle that can be relied on for touring, there is the New ADV 160 that just launched and the CB150X. The two have different characters. The ADV 160 is a scooter type and the CB150X is a sports bike that is designed for adventure needs. But each of them remains agile when taken far away. Which of the two is more fun to tour with.

Choice of Motor Make Touring, New Honda ADV 160 or CB150X?

Performance

From the spec sheet, the ADV 160 carries a 156.9cc engine (rounded up 160cc), 4 valves, liquid cooling, and already has eSP+ injection technology (enhanced Smart Power plus). The amount of power and torque produces a maximum power of up to 11.8 kW or 15.8 Hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Engine compression is at 12:1 with bore x stroke at 60 x 55.5 mm. The new engine concoction is claimed to be able to provide good acceleration.

While the CB150X power source of the 150cc DOHC 4-valve PGM-FI single-cylinder unit is liquid-cooled. Its equivalent is a 6-speed transmission. From there, 11.5 KW (15.6 Hp) of power can be distributed, which peaks at the level of 9,000 rpm. The torque is similar to its engine-sharing sibling, the CB150R at 13.8 Nm at 7,000rpm. Its performance excels at low to medium engine revs, so the ability to climb it is better, in accordance with the character of riders who like touring.

Efficiency

Based on the results of internal tests with the WMTC-EURO 3 method, the fuel consumption of the ADV 160 shows a figure of 45 km / liter (ISS on feature), so it is able to cover a distance of up to 364 km in one full refueling. The fuel tank capacity of Honda's new adventure scooter is 12 liters.

His brother whose manual clutch was recorded at 38 km/liter. These results are obtained based on the results of the ECE R40 test. This result is also an internal test by AHM. The capacity of the tank is 12 liters.

The fuel consumption above will certainly be different when both are used daily later. The condition of the roads and the weight carried also make its fuel consumption different from the manufacturer's claims.

Feature

The New Honda ADV 160 gets improvements in terms of features to improve driving safety. It is now equipped with traction control or HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) specifically for the highest variant. Furthermore, the application of adjustable windscreens to improve aerodynamics and maximize wind exposure. In addition to its function to withstand wind gusts from the front, this component also has a role in boosting appearance. Even the ADV 160 can be adjusted to two high positions. Without having to bother disassembling the tide.

The new meter panel looks like honda ADV350, charging me model USB Port type A, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) for the highest variant, Full LED lighting (front, rear, turnkey), DRL, hazard lights, ESS (Emergency Stop Signal), handlebar handlebars, wavy disk, 30 liter trunk, Side Stand Switch, Keyless with security alarm.

To support long trips, the CB150X is equipped with a Tapered Handlebar. High Windscreen for comfort and protection from wind exposure while driving, Full Digital Panelmeter which displays vehicle information with a sportier and more modern appearance, LED Headlight, Inverted Front Suspension, Adventure Style Undercowl to provide protection for the engine while driving, and LED Taillight.

Accommodation

It's less afdal if the motorbike for touring doesn't talk about accommodation. In this case the new scooter Honda has a trunk of 30 liters. The helmet can definitely enter. Even some types of full face. From there, there is a leftover space that can store some important equipment for long trips, such as raincoats and other small objects. Then there is another drawer in the dashboard area. This part is quite deep, just right to store the device and can be closed, so it is aesthetically neater.

None of the luggage space on the CB150X. Don't expect to be able to keep a helmet, raincoat, or anything that can be left on the motorcycle. Again, they weren't made like accommodating scooters. But some aftermarket parts can treat, a kind of iron rack with a box or bag tied to the tank.

Practicality

Within the city, the footrest and weight of the vehicle become important elements. So is dexterity, whether maneuvering or when you have to make a U-turn. In total dimensions, the ADV 160 has a length of 1,950 mm, a width of 763 mm, and a height of 1,196 mm. Ground Clereance 165 mm and seating height 780 mm. While the CB150X (LxWxH) is 2,031 x 796 x 1,309 mm, with the lowest distance to the ground of 181 mm and a seat height of 817 mm. But about the weight, of course, the scooter is more compact, 133 kg. While the CB150X reaches 139 kg.

The new ADV 160, which is a scooter type, has a wide footrest. It can provide a sense of comfort and is easier to invite to wade through the dense and dynamic city paths. While the CB150X even though it has a sport model footrest, it is also relatively comfortable. Because the triangle of its ergonomics does not make the rider get tired quickly.

Next, the matter of sitting position. This depends on taste indeed. The scooter offers wide seat contours for the rider. This type of sport adventure has multi-tiered model seats. Make the driver made lower so that the back waist gets restraint. The design certainly gives the advantage of keeping the body's position firm. So it doesn't get sore quickly.

Legs

The New ADV 160 is embedded with ordinary telescopic suspension at the front and twin subtank rear suspension to provide optimal comfort and stability when cornering, bumpy and bumpy roads. Coupled with large semi-dual purpose tires 110/80 – 14 (front) and 130/70 – 13 (rear) it gives a dashing impression and looks different.

The CB150X has long legs. The basics can be said to be similar to the Honda CB150R or Honda CBR150R, where the front suspension is upside down from Showa and the rear is monoshock with unitrack. Although he has a similar appearance, he gets an upgrade. Still Showa SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork-Big Piston) but has a longer playing distance of 30 mm. The stroke is also 10 mm longer, the total is 130 mm. To compensate for the already long front suspension, the CB150X's monosok is also longer. Approximately 324 mm with a stroke of 60 mm.

While the wheels use IRC Road Winner tires intended for on-road lanes. The size of the front tires is 100/80 – 17 52P (Tubeless) and rear 130/70 – 17 62P (Tubeless).

Design

The New Honda ADV 160 has a tough and sturdy urban explorer design. Although at first glance it is similar to the old model, it turns out that the face has changes. More precisely, the front body cover is slightly enlarged so that the fierce impression of this bike is stronger. Then in the left and right body wings also look different. If the previous model used a slightly fat design, precisely in the ADV160 it appears slimmer so that the visuals are simpler.

The rear side body is now similar to the Honda ADV 350 that has already launched in Thailand. This body revision also makes the appearance of the ADV160 look bigger. But at the stern, it still applies an LED lamp model with an X silhouette inside the lamp housing. To support the adventure display, he is equipped with a windscreen whose function is to dispel the wind optimally.

The sport adventure is designed with a burly design and a more prominent moge feel. The aura is similar to that of the CB500X moge. The fat part in front appears on the tank area with the shroud fused all the way to the muzzle. This part is also what makes it similar to the moge. This is one of the attractions of the CB150X.

It's not enough to make the front like the CB500X, the posture matter must also be adjusted. Made high with a longer front shock, longer travel. The type is exactly the same as that used by Streetfire, namely the Showa SFF-BP 37 mm upside-down. Don't forget the gold kelir must be made a marker.

The combination of the fat tank and the tall posture, makes the CB150X a little intimidating. Especially for riders whose height is under 170cm. Standing aside or looking closely, it's really like a moge!

Conclusion

Although the price is quite far apart, both of them are indeed designed for riders who want a scrap metal horse. When it comes to specification data, it is clear that the New ADV 160 is superior. But in terms of performance, of course, the CB150X is reliable because it adopts a manual clutch.

The Honda CB150X is intended for potential consumers who are looking for a long-distance old motorcycle. Without forgetting its ability to be used as an everyday vehicle and offers stuttering and steady performance when used for touring.

Both of them are quite capable of being brought touring, and they also have their own advantages. In terms of comfort, realistically certainly the Honda CB150X is very supportive. But when it comes to engine technology and its taste features the New ADV 160 is also reliable. Now it depends on your choice. You can adjust to the budget or want to be different on the road.

Discuss the Design of the Honda ADV 160, This is the Difference with the Old Model

PT Astra Honda Motor officially launched the ADV 160 last June. This adventurous-style scooter gets a model update compared to the ADV 150. Although not so obvious, the difference between the two models can actually be seen from the design of the body lines. When looking at the body cover, all those installed are new components except for the headlamp, stoplamp, and turn signal.

Test ride Honda ADV 160

Changes in the body and frame also made the footrest area change, now the size has become wider and lying down so that it can be more comfortable. Likewise with the rear braces, although the design is similar, it turns out that the components are new to the new frame on the motor. As is known, now the ADV 160 uses the exact same model as the Honda PCX 160.

This change makes a difference to the position of the engine mounting, where previously it was at the bottom it was now moved to the top following the new engine. Because there is no longer a transverse frame at the bottom of the trunk. Now, the luggage area behind the seat has increased its capacity by 2 liters from the previous 28 liters to 30 liters. As for the gas tank, from the beginning of 8 liters, it turned out that there was an increase of 0.1 liters so that it became 8.1 liters.

The change in the new frame design of the ADV 160 also made its weight drop by 760 grams from the ADV 150. For the steering handlebars, the change is that the height of the raiser is made shorter according to its now lower riding position. As for the windshield, it is now made higher and there is an additional air circulation hole. This Widshield also still has a high-low setting that can be set manually.

Impression of Yamaha Fazzio, a scooter with a unique design, economical fuel consumption

PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) presents a uniquely designed scooter, namely the Fazzio Hybrid-Connected which is sold at a price of Rp. 21.7 million and Rp. 22 million, which is on the road in Jakarta.

Yamaha then invited a number of media crews to try the Fazzio Hybrid-Connected directly around the city of Bogor, West Java on Friday (4/2).

In addition to its unique design, the thing that stands out is the efficient consumption of fuel oil (BBM). Although fuel consumption depends on driving style and traffic conditions, in this activity there were participants who reached 92 km/liter and 82 km/liter.

The fuel consumption record can be achieved thanks to the latest generation Blue Core technology, where the motorcycle engine has two synergistic power sources, namely the power from the engine and the power from the Electric Power Assist Start.

The combination of power from the engine and Electric Power Assist Start makes motorcycle acceleration more powerful and smoother, especially when the motorcycle is carrying passengers, goods, and crossing uphill roads.

There is also a One Push Start system which makes the engine start quickly with one touch, as well as a Stop & Start System which functions to turn off the engine automatically when the motor is not in use to save fuel.

In addition, the presence of Electric Power Assist Start technology makes this tiny scooter able to provide qualified acceleration, whether it is when carried alone, with goods or in a group. The technology works in the third second via a battery boost that serves to assist the initial pull by combining engine power and EPAS. "Indeed, there is time needed for battery recovery itself," said Aji Handoko, Technical and Education After Sales Service some time ago in Bogor. "There are two modes in this case, firstly when the motorbike is running fast until it stops completely or 0 km / h, it's one and a half seconds the motorbike will die, it's different if it is stuck, and if you drive this vehicle slowly the motorbike will die in a matter of 5 minutes. seconds," said Aji Handoko. The motorbike, which is included in the classy scooter category, has the latest features to make it easier for riders to stay connected through the Y-Connect application. Yamaha Fazzio Hybrid-Connected (ANTARA/Yamaha) The Yamaha Fazzio is the first 125 vehicle to use the technology and features already embedded in the Yamaha MAXI (All New Aerox Connected and All New NMAX Connected) as well as the latest product from Sport (All New R15 Connected). ). The advantage of this feature is that it makes it easier for owners to stay connected with phone and message notifications, parking locations, maintenance recommendations (Engine Oil and Battery / Battery), monitoring fuel consumption, and malfunction notifications.

In addition to engine performance, the unique Fazzio Hybrid-Connected design also makes the driver more confident and becomes the center of attention on the road. Although the design is relatively small, it is comfortable to drive by people with a height of 176 cm, because the knees do not coincide with the front deck so that it is still easy to maneuver. Yamaha Fazzio has two types, namely FAZZIO LUX with an elegant and premium color appearance, and FAZZIO NEO with a choice of sporty colors. Fazzio LUX comes with two premium color options, LUX Matte Black and LUX Prestige Silver. Meanwhile, the Yamaha Fazzio Hybrid - Connected NEO comes in four sporty color options, NEO Cyan, NEO Red, NEO Beige, and NEO Black. The NEO type Fazzio is marketed for IDR 21.7 million while the LUX type Fazzio costs IDR 22 million, both are on the road in Jakarta and are available at Yamaha dealers starting January 2022.

Customizability function and port accessories

President Director & CEO of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) Minoru Morimoto on Yamaha Indonesia's official Youtube said that Yamaha Fazzio was presented to answer the needs and lifestyle trends of dynamic motorcycle riders.

"Through a unique stylish design, a smart and trendy concept that showcases our new category concept Classy Yamaha. It is very important to note that Classy does not only mean classic but also classy," said Minoru Morimoto.

For this reason, Yamaha Fazzio provides port accessories that give riders freedom of expression according to the style, character and taste of each rider.

There are several things that are the highlight of this product. Most visible is the design which is quite unique for the Indonesian market. By adopting a boxy body, the details of this motorbike are also decorated with oval shapes in many parts.

At first glance, its appearance looks similar to the Yamaha QBIX sold abroad. Meanwhile, in Indonesia itself, this motorbike is often touted as a competitor to the Honda Scoopy.

Since its initial launch in Indonesia, the Yamaha Fazzio is available in two variants, namely Neo and Lux. The difference is in the color and graphics of the body.

Yamaha Fazzio Neo comes with a choice of more diverse and brighter colors, for example cyan, red, beige, and black. Meanwhile, the Yamaha Fazzio Lux puts forward an elegant feel with neutral colors, such as silver and black.

The important thing to note from the specifications of the Yamaha Fazzio is that it has a hybrid system. The way it works is simple because there is no addition of new components compared to other Yamaha motorcycles that are already Bluecore.

The Yamaha Fazzio hybrid system maximizes the Smart Generator Motor (SMG) component. If in general this component only functions to support the work of the electric starter, now it also serves as a power assist.

The power assist will provide additional power when the motor is about to accelerate. Activates after the engine speed is above 1,300 rpm and will automatically stop after 3 seconds or when the engine speed reaches 5,500 rpm.

Price of Yamaha Fazzio Hybrid, Review of Specifications and Advantages – Disadvantages

Although quite simple, consumers will get extra benefits in terms of performance. Then because there are no additional components, the selling price of this motorbike can still be competitive.

It's a different story if you look at other hybrid motorcycles whose components are more complex, such as the Honda PCX e: HEV. This product has an additional lithium-ion type battery in addition to the battery. This makes the selling price quite high with a tag of more than Rp. 40 million.

Competitor Yamaha Fazzio Hybrid

In terms of specifications, there are not many two-wheeled vehicle products in Indonesia that use a hybrid system such as the Yamaha Fazzio. However, when viewed from the price, this automatic scooter can be reasonable when juxtaposed with the Honda Scoopy.

What's more from the design both lead to the same style. Prioritizing a modern retro aura with rounded body shapes.

A number of Indonesian automotive media reviews recommend the Yamaha Fazzio for consumers who want more agile performance. This is based on a larger engine capacity and additional power from the power assist which makes it easy to accelerate.

Although on the other hand the Yamaha Fazzio is said to have a setting that tends to be hard. This can indeed support its performance when it comes to maneuvering. However, the consequence is that comfort is reduced.

What about the Honda Scoopy? This product is considered more suitable for consumers who want an economical and comfortable automatic scooter. With a smaller engine capacity, it is natural that the Honda Scoopy's fuel consumption is economical.

So, when it comes to features, Yamaha Fazzio has the advantage of connecting with the Y-Connect mobile application. That way the owner can monitor various information about the vehicle through his smart phone.

Yamaha Fazzio What Fuel?

With a fairly high engine compression, Yamaha Fazzio is suitable for using gasoline with 92 octane such as Pertamax or Shell Super.

For those who are laymen, do not misinterpret the hybrid system attached to this product.

Although in principle there is the help of electrification technology, the Yamaha Fazzio still relies on the internal combustion engine as its main power source.

Another question that is also circulating on the internet is about the meaning of the name Fazzio.

What is Fazzio?

Fazzio's name is taken from the combination of the words "fashion" and "liscio". As is known, "fashion" means a style that is closely related to dress. Meanwhile "liscio" is taken from Italian which can be interpreted simply.

Thus a review of the price of the Yamaha Fazzio as well as specifications, features, and advantages and disadvantages. It can be concluded that this product is a new choice in the automatic scooter segment with modern engine technology.

Advantages of Yamaha Fazzio

2. Efficient First 3 Seconds Pull

Based on studies, pulling the motor in the first three seconds requires a lot of power. However, this does not apply to the Yamaha Fazzio as a hybrid motorcycle.

When you run the motor, the hybrid feature will work for the first three seconds and after that it turns off automatically. This can help the motor to be more efficient in using fuel.

3. Communication Control Unit Technology

Usually when driving a car, you will connect your smartphone to the car. With Yamaha Fazzio, you can also connect your cellphone to a motorcycle.

The appearance looks quite simple, but still stylish and classy. The headlights also have LED lights which make it brighter.

Yamaha Fazzio is available in two variants, namely Fazzio Neo and Lux. The two variants have slight differences, namely in the design.

The Neo variant is available in Red, Cyan, Beige, and Black glossy type, with black seats. While the Lux variant is available in colors that look more luxurious, namely Matte Black and Prestige Silver with brown leather seats.

Disadvantages of Yamaha Fazzio

Although included in the category of advanced hybrid motorcycles, Yamaha Fazzio certainly still has some drawbacks that need to be considered:

1. Turn Signal Bulb

Although the main lights have used LED lights, the lights from the pens still use light bulbs. However, this is not very visible because the glass is covered by frosty frosty glass.

2. Less Maximum Power

Although a hybrid, Yamaha Fazzio has a power that is not too big. The Fazzio can generate power of 6.2 kW at 6,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm at 4,500 rpm. However, these specifications are sufficient for motorcycle users in general.

3. Prices tend to be expensive

As a hybrid motorcycle, of course the Yamaha Fazzio is priced at a higher price than other automatic motorcycles. However, when compared to other brand hybrid motorcycles, this motorbike is cheaper.
