 The light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment in the country is a marker of economic activity and positive growth of its users. Its sales have always been the backbone of manufacturers and not a few rely on such products for various economic activities.

Most recently, Mitsubishi Motors introduced the Colt L300 update in the middle of last year. This legendary product that has been present for 40 years is now equipped with an engine with Euro4 emission standards.

The sales performance of the L300 is always convincing. Last September, the L300 maintained its position in the 4x2 small pick up segment with a market share of 54.5 percent. This light commercial vehicle sold up to 1,571 units. This figure stayed with the previous August record of 1,546 units.

Tetsuro Tsuchida, Director of Sales Marketing Division of PT MMKSI, revealed that one of the concerns of L300 consumers is about maintenance costs. Although it comes with a new Euro4 engine, Mitsubishi assures that the cost of this maintenance will not be a concern from consumers.

"We have thought, in the development of this machine, it should not make consumers worry about maintenance. Half the parts of this new model, the parts are the same as the previous model. It is not much different from the old model. So the maintenance between the Euro2 (old model) engine and the Euro4 is no different," said Tsuchida in a statement.

Tsuchida emphasizes on the periodic maintenance that fleet owners need to do. If it is time to perform periodic service, then machine maintenance will be carried out through checking by experienced mechanics and preventing fatal damage. Moreover, commercial vehicles are vehicles that must be ready to work hard.

Regarding the design, Yamaha emphasizes on the shape of the "X" both in front and rear of the vehicle. The front looks sharp in the headlight area and the "X" shape is present on the stoplamp behind which is the hallmark of this model. The latest Xmax is offered in two trim variants namely Standard and Tech. Low power mode, designed to limit maximum power to 165 hp and offers highly configurable throttle response.

The 2023 version of the Streetfighter V4 gets a Wet Riding Mode, making riding safer on low-grip surfaces. The standard equipment is enriched with a lithium-ion battery for the S version (1.7 kg (3.7 lbs lighter) than the previous one and is already equipped on the V4 SP version.

The Streetfighter V4's dashboard is also new, following the evolution that the Panigale V4 uses. The graphics are revised in all views, to make the information simpler and more descriptive and support the calibration of various parameters.

Like the Panigale V4, gear changes are indicated through an external green LED signal. The dashboard offers a "Track Evo" display mode, replicating the layout used on the Desmosedici MotoGP and guaranteeing a direct view as well as intervention from electronic controls.

Software such as the Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO 2 has also been revised. This new component guarantees better stability, precision and direction in the braking and corner entry phases. The 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 is powered by a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine. Equipped with a new damper that Ducati said reduces back pressure and optimizes performance.  PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) wrote to several Honda PCX and ADV160 users to check and repair components at the official AHASS workshop. This can be called a recall campaign because AHM found a malfunction in the CVT components of the two scooters.

Several owners of Honda PCX and ADV 160 received a letter from AHM with the theme Product Update. This information was first revealed through uploads on several Facebook community forums. The component repair and replacement activities are effective from September 2022.

The part that needs to be checked and replaced is the Pulley Assy Drive. Indications of this component malfunction are said to have occurred on the Honda PCX and ADV160 because these two scooters indeed pack the same platform.

HJC Releases New Sonic The Hedgehog Graphics for the RPHA 11 Series

 HJC Helmet has come up with some pretty eccentric designs over the last few years. The product line up always gives a different feel. An example is in the RPHA 11 unit livery of several DC and Marvel themed super heroes. The latest South Korean helmet brand has released Sonic The Hedgehog graphics.

One of the top helmet brands in the motorcycle industry is now partnering with Sega of America. In the CVT transmission there are 3 main components that play an important role in transmitting power to the wheels of the vehicle.

  • Primary Sheave (Drive Pulley)
  • Secondary Sheave (Driven Pulley)
  • V-belt 

The Primary Sheave is located at the front, while the Secondary Sheave is at the back. These two components are connected by a V-belt. These three components determine the amount of output in the form of torque and speed, which are then channeled to the axle and then to the wheels of the vehicle.

The operation of this transmission is by shifting the diameter of the V-belt on both parts of the pulley. When "low gear" or just running, the radius of the drive pulley is small, while the driven pulley is large. Meanwhile, when the "high gear" is the opposite, the radius of the drive pulley increases, the driven pulley decreases.

Regarding Secondary Sheave (Driven Pulley) or secondary Pulley consisting of Secondary Fixed Sheave (fixed secondary pulley), Secondary Sliding Sheave (moving secondary pulley), Secondary Sheave Spring, Secondary Shaft (secondary pole), clutch carrier (centrifugal clutch), clutch housing (clutch housing), cam torque and reduction gear.

Problems that often arise are usually from the clutch housing (bowl), centrifugal clutch lining and secondary sliding sheave.

Symptoms of the clutch housing (clutch housing) is usually a halting acceleration at lower revs. The indication is because the shape of the bowl is no longer flat. So that it is not optimal to bind the clutch lining. This condition could be due to frequent opening of the gas and braking immediately.

Then from the centrifugal clutch lining which starts to wear out. Usually there is a squeaking sound, the acceleration of the motor feels slower both at the lower and upper rounds. Then the secondary sliding sheave which is worn or eroded due to the continuous rotation of the V-Belt. In addition to the rough sound, the symptom caused is that acceleration at mid-speed feels stuck, but returns to normal as the engine speed increases. The habit of hitting the gas cycle can be the cause of this problem.
