Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R Modifications

Kawasaki is indeed one of the manufacturers that is consistent with the type of motor sport products. Ninja's name, even became one of the species that never disappeared from the sheet portfolio. Since the 2-stroke Ninja, Ninja RR, Ninja 250 cc, now they are trying to innovate with a compact 4-cylinder engine through the Ninja ZX-25R.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R Modifications

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R stole the attention when it appeared at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show (TMS). How not, the 250 cc Ninja figure, which has been known as 1 or 2-cylinder configurations, is now loaded with 4-cylinders. It promises impressive performance, especially when applied to a quarter liter engine.

Not entirely new, considering that in 1989 the Green Gang released the Kawasaki ZXR-250. One of the competitive iron horses at that time. Thanks to its DOHC 4-cylinder mechanical heart, it is capable of producing 45 hp/15,000 rpm and 25 Nm/11,500 rpm of torque. Broadly speaking, that DNA also flows in the Ninja ZX-25R. Both are armed with the same type of engine and cylinder.

Although there is a common thread, in fact that's all that can be found in the two. Embedding a variety of innovations makes the 4-cylinder Ninja more savage than its predecessor. Imagine, bursts of energy alone reach 50.2 Hp. Meanwhile, the maximum torsional moment is 22.9 Nm, reached at 15,500 rpm engine speed.

Such performance can also be felt by consumers in the country. Even the offer is quite attractive, because it is sold at prices starting at Rp. 96 million, for non-ABS types. As for the most expensive type equipped with ABS, it is pegged at 112.9 million. Pre-orders for the ZX-25R unit have also been opened from 11-12 July 2020, specifically for buyers in the Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi and Serang areas.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is present in Indonesia with two choices of standard (non-ABS) and Special Edition (ABS SE). The SE type has additional color graphics as well as several features and accessories. These include: ABS brakes, two-way KQS, pillion seat cover / single seat cover, smoked windshield, frame slider, and wheel rim tape. Also in terms of color choices, this type is varied with the availability of Lime Green/Ebony, Metallic Spark Black/Pearl Flatdust White and Candy Plasma Blue/Metallic Spark Blue options. The price was released at Rp. 112.9 million. That option cannot be found on the standard ZX-25R which only provides one color (Metallic Spark Black) only. Only minus ABS and accessories, consumers can ask for her hand with a much cheaper tag of only Rp. 96 million.

At first glance it looks like the Ninja 250 2-cylinder version. Call it the application of a tapered LED type dual headlamp. The difference is that the ZX-25R lighting system gets DRL at the bottom corner of the lamp housing. The striking difference is also seen due to the presence of ram water (air pipe) at the top of the lighting system, then the shape of the windshield which is more sloping and the mirrors are short. Emphasizes its sporty character. In addition, the aerodynamic body cover under the main lighting and the alignment of the sharp front fender forms.

On the side, the body of the ZX-25R is not completely closed. Obviously, the manufacturer deliberately wanted to exploit high tensile steel trellis frames. Including the selection of underbelly exhaust to highlight the banana swingarm model. Even so, it seems there is no significant change in the driving position. Like the 2-cylinder Ninja, the 4-cylinder version also uses clip-on handlebars, motor sport-style foot steps and multi-level seats. The difference is, the gas tank cover belonging to the ZX-25R feels easy for racing purposes. That's because of its flat shape to support the rider's chest and helmet.

It's just that it's very heavy. The total ZX-25R is as fat as 182 kg (ABS type), not to mention if the tank is supplied with a maximum volume of 15 liters of gasoline. But in terms of dimensions: 1,980 x 750 x 1,110 mm (W x W x H), the ZX-25R is still ideal when compared to other 250 cc sports competitors. He is also the lowest fighter because he has the lowest distance (ground clearance) of 125 mm. Again, competitors at the same level are still higher than him. Such a design must be friendly to Indonesian motorists, especially with a seat height of 785 mm

In order to control the dimensions, weight and performance beast, the ZX-25R is equipped with a steel trellis chassis. Claimed to support the character like a supersport. In fact, specifically the ingredients such as the center of gravity, swingarm pivot position, engine axis, caster angle, were inspired by the chassis of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R - one of Kawasaki's flagship mounts in the World Superbike (WSBK) arena.

As a support, infiltrated shock absorbers upside down (USD) with a diameter of 37 mm in front. SFF-BP (Separated Function Fork - Big Piston) technology. Kawasaki calls the suspension specs from the Showa suitable for use on the race track, but also ideal for daily use. Its performance is in synergy with the 110/70-17 wheel circumference of the Dunlop GPR300-style radial tires. For the rear wheels, use size 150/60-17. Then to dampen the stern area, a single horizontal back link shock absorber was appointed.

Regarding the speed stop, the ZX-25R uses disc brakes with monobloc radial calipers at the front and a large disc circumference at the rear. In the top type there is an ABS braking system. This is one of the differentiators with non-ABS units. Because it does not have an anti-lock brake system, the standard ZX-25R has a lighter weight of 180 kg (2 kg difference from the ABS SE type).

During the launch, PT KMI for the first time released technical data regarding the engine. The ZX-25R is written using a DOHC 4-cylinder inline 16 valve engine with a capacity of 249.8 cc. Overbore type, identical to the existing Ninja (2-cylinder version). But the Ninja ZX-25R has a bore x stroke: 50 x 31.8 mm and a compression ratio of 11.5:1. This concoction produces 49.3 hp/15,500 rpm and 22.9 Nm/14,500 rpm of torque. However, that record could change if the Ninja ZX-25R's water ram is active (speed 100 kph). It is claimed that power can be boosted up to 50.2 HP/15,500 rpm or 51 PS (50.9 PS rounding).

Thanks to that machine, the ZX-25R is able to reach a top speed of up to 187 kph. The nick, which is also the result of the translation of the application of a quick shifter (upshift and downshift), is integrated into the 6-speed transmission which has been infiltrated by Assist and Slipper Clutch. However, the device is only found in the highest type (ABS SE type). Even so, that doesn't mean non-ABS unit buyers can't fully experience the ZX-25R's performance. Because both models are equipped with Power Mode in the form of full power or low power mode options. Through this selection, the power and response of the gas opening will be adjusted automatically. If you want to feel the maximum scream, you can select the 'F' mode. Instead, try the 'L' mode if you want to drive more relaxed.

Especially for low power, it can be used when driving the ZX-25R in unfavorable weather conditions, such as rain. Plus, there is also Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC). For information, the Ninja ZX-25R is the first 250 cc motorcycle to apply this system. And there are three settings (three rider selectable mode) to suit the driving situation and rider preferences. The use of these features is supported by the presence of Electronic Throttle Valves (ETV), which are equipped with a high-spec ECU. That way, the engine can control the supply of fuel (via fuel injectors) and air (from throttle valves) sent to the combustion chamber.

Popular Modifications Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R

Most buyers of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R really cult the sporty aura on their vehicles. Maximizing by following the original nuance, is an orientation that is often used as a benchmark for owners.

There are various ways, by adding a variety of performance support devices to hook a more savage sensation. There are also those who focus on modifications to the appearance, to strengthen the impression of the motor racing they covet. However, not a few who only modify it in a minimalist way, to maintain its originality as much as possible, because they are very satisfied with what is offered.

Modif Body Part

Even since the Ninja ZX-25R has not been sold, Kawasaki Motor Indonesia has introduced a version wrapped in carbon fiber material. No kidding, Japanese tuner A-Tech was asked to prepare this super lightweight body part. Materials like this can be used for fairing components, chassis, chassis cover, chain cover, and even swing arm. The purpose of this type of modification, of course, is none other than to reduce weight and improve performance.

Minimalist Engine Upgrade

For minor modifications in the performance sector, Ninja ZX-25R owners can choose to maximize combustion. You do this by increasing the air supply to the cylinder chamber, or simply optimizing ignition. To increase the supply of air, consumers can choose an air filter with stainless steel material with a density that is more tenuous than the standard. Outwardly, there are two models we found, density 45 micron and 70 micron. This is much more tenuous than the standard which is only 15-25 microns.

ECU Tuning

Manipulating the ECU system is often an option for owners who want to improve the performance of their motorbike without changing a lot of innards first. The trick is to install a piggy back so that you can manipulate the data and set it further. Usually this device is sold together with tuning services on the dynamometer, so that the desired output can be directly felt.

Accessories for Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R

Because the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is a promising motorbike in its class, aftermarket brands are also competing to prepare a variety of accessories to complement the needs of the owners.

If you are still having trouble finding it in Indonesia, don't worry, many brands from abroad also have a variety of accessories collections. Because this bike is intended for the global market.

Carbon Single Seater

In standard conditions, the Ninja ZX-25R is already using a seat cover to cover the passenger seat. However, the material prepared is still made of ABS plastic. If you want a more luxurious material such as carbon, there are those that are sold in the market with a price tag of Rp. 1.2 million to Rp. 2 million. The fun thing is that these components are arranged with original ZX-25R spare parts, so they are plug and play.

Tire

The standard wheel rubber of the Kawasaki ZX-25R is the Dunlop Sportmax GPR300. This tire has a radial wall configuration with sizes of 110/70 (front) and 150/60 (rear) on 17-inch alloy wheels. The option for the ZX-25R of course we recommend competitive sports models from well-known brands, such as the IRC Fasti Pro or if the orientation is daily RMC 810 (Rp 2-3 million a pair). If you want a more prestigious brand, you can choose Bridgestone with the Battlax BT39 or S22 model (Rp 2.5-3.5 million a pair). Another option is the Michelin Pilot Power 5 series or RS series. Just prepare a pocket of IDR 3.5-4 million a pair to redeem it.

Slider Frames

The standard variant of the ZX-25R is priced at IDR 98 million, not yet using a frame slider. This component is considered important to protect your motorcycle. Not only the fairing is protected, but also engine components and other vital parts. The price of the original part touches Rp. 2 million, but don't worry, there are aftermarket brands with no less good quality with a price tag of around Rp. 1 million.

Honda PCX160 Modification

Honda PCX is one of the early players in the premium style scooter class in Indonesia. Starting his work with an imported version with a 125 cc engine, he was the one who opened the way in this class. Its import status is intact and nominal in the country of origin, Thailand and even Vietnam, which is still high, making the selling price in the country quite expensive in its era. His psychological price was at IDR 40 million when he reached his highest point. However, its popularity turned out to be quite good.

An updated version of the 150 cc engine was also circulating before being replaced by a local production variant at a much more affordable price. Well, since this is the prestige of the Honda PCX began to triumph. How not, it was released at a competitive price with its rivals but carries a variety of more charming features.

Honda PCX160 Modification

Appearing more luxurious than before, the local Honda PCX 150 uses a new front and rear lamp design that is already full of LEDs. The body is also fatter with four exclusive color choices: white, red, black and gold. A modern impression sticks out through the use of a digital instrument panel, with a blue background and white information numbers.

Honda gives a variety of new features for this scooter. One of the interesting, smart key system. The features on the right dashboard of the Honda PCX are integrated with three technologies: keyless (using a remote instead of a key), answer back system and alarm. The naming of the smart key system is also without reason, you can open the trunk and gas tank directly from there.

Another refresh for the Honda PCX, the manufacturer bearing the wing gave the tubeless tires wider to increase driving comfort. The rear wheels, which previously used drum brakes, have now been replaced by discs. The idling stop system (ISS) feature as a fuel saver is maintained. How the ISS works, deactivates the engine automatically when the scooter stops for more than three seconds.

The engine sector was popular when it relied on the adaptation of the Honda Vario 150. The mechanical heart had a liquid-cooled 149.3 cc SOHC capacity. And this year, Honda gave many revisions to the mechanical heart. We also really appreciate this.

The All New Honda PCX 160 carries the latest generation engine with a technology called Enhanced Smart Power plus (eSP+). The capacity has increased, from the previous 149 cc to 157 cc. On paper, he can catapult a power of 16 hp at 8,500 rpm and a torque of 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. That figure is of course able to leave its toughest competitor, the All New NMax 155. Which has a power of 15.1 hp / 8,000 rpm with a torque of 13.9 Nm / 6,500 rpm.

Then it is now crammed with four valves, making for a better air-fuel mixture. And escorted by the SOHC system and technology, you are the Honda PGM-FI. There are also differences in the diameter of the piston and the steps, from the previous 57.3 x 57.9 mm, to 60 x 55.5 mm. The character is overbore, more optimal at the top speed (high RPM). The compression ratio, which was previously 10.6:1, has also been increased, now to 12:1.

Honda also embeds Piston Oil Jet on the PCX 160 engine. This technology has actually been widely used by motorcycles in the 80s era. Its main function, of course, is to help the engine cooling system. The way it works, the bottom of the piston is sprayed with oil constantly. As a result, it can reduce the heat generated from the friction of the piston. Coupled with a molybdenum piston and new piston rings. Claimed to be able to sweep the lubricant better.

Then, the application of Hydraulic Cam Chain (HCC) which is able to reduce friction and sound, as well as engine vibration at the same time. The effect is that the tensioner lifter is able to control the tension of the chain link. Friction can be reduced, noise and vibration at high levels can be suppressed. The result is mechanically quieter and will not change over a long period of time.

In the CVT, the drive pulley is made bigger and the transmission shaft is improved. Then the intake line from the air filter to the inlet pipe is expanded. The diameter of the throttle body was also enlarged to increase intake efficiency. In addition, the exhaust also underwent changes to the structure on the inside. Thus, not only performance increases, but also is more environmentally friendly.

The engine technology carried by the PCX 160 is claimed to have minimal friction and improve performance. The effect makes this premium scooter capable of providing peak perfection when driven daily or touring.

To attract the attention of premium scooter lovers in the country, the manufacturer has given a refresh on the face. The transformation is so tempting. Now applying a new design that carries the concept of 'Personal Comfort Saloon'. Its appearance is a combination of luxury with personalization. Identity as a premium scooter is clear when you first see it.

The most striking is seen in the facade. Now more modern and elegant. No longer use a curved line as a lamp separator. Everything is made together, from the end of the turn signal to the headlight. Its position is horizontal and wide, in harmony with the overall design. The headlights are now made narrower.

The rear body panel is given a new touch, although not too significant. To add to the premium impression, the logo attached is colored in copper (CBS version) and gold (ABS type). Able to give high-class expression and further support the riding style.

The stop lamp has a new look. The shape is more futuristic than its predecessor, with a sharper model. The light effect of the three-dimensional effect is more prominent. And of course, all lighting systems have adopted LED lighting technology. It supports the luxury and sophistication of the All New Honda PCX 160.

Honda PCX is marketed in two variants: CBS (combi brake system) and ABS (anti-lock braking system).

Even though it looks luxurious and elegant, of course many Honda PCX owners don't let their motorbikes look standard. Various modifications were made to increase the impression of prestige and boost its performance. The touring style, elegance, to sportiness are even some of the approaches that are often used.

Popular Modifications Honda PCX160

As already mentioned, modification is one way for Honda PCX owners to personalize their motorbikes. There are many goals to achieve, achieve an exclusive impression, get a performance boost, or simply increase its functionality.

Elegant style is one of the principles adhered to by PCX owners. Understandably, the iron horse was born with thick luxury genes. Adherents of this flow, usually focus more on modifications to the addition of parts that do not change the shape of the body. The addition of more sophisticated features is also often done by owners who use this stream, for example adding GPS.

The touring style is another alternative that is also the choice of many PCX owners. The motorbike, which was designed with a very relaxed riding position, does seem to ask to be taken for a long trip. The impression of a large scooter usually becomes more prominent when the owner chooses this style, because various additional ornaments on the body make it look more youthful.

Improving performance is also one of the modifications targeted by Honda PCX motorcycle owners. There are owners who want to change the PCX's typical frugality principle to be more fierce and reliable in accelerating. In this flow, the increase is usually focused on the transmission sector such as CVT or engines. Not a few also choose to improve PCX handling by upgrading the suspension.

Touring Equipment Upgrade

This type of modification does specialize in adding ornaments to increase the functionality of transporting goods so that the PCX is more accommodating for long distances. For example, by installing a box either on the back or on the side. On the side box, not a few owners choose a box shape that matches the body, so the PCX design looks more integrated with the storage device. Most adherents of this modification choose to add a box on the back. This box model does have more space than the side, but without increasing the width of the motorbike, so its agility is not so disturbed. Moreover, box models like this can usually use a removable scheme with special brackets. So when the box is not in use, it can be removed. The cost of this type of modification starts from IDR 800 thousand to IDR 3-4 million depending on the number of box components and the brand used.

Body Upgrade

Appearance is an aspect that is more emphasized in this flow. Honda PCX style can be manipulated through body modifications. Starting from changing the windshield, installing body ornaments, or changing the seat motif. The cost of this type of modification refers to the parts that are installed, the cheapest usually starts from IDR 400 thousand for garnishes that are attached to the body. The most expensive can touch the nominal of millions of rupiah in the method of installing a body kit which makes the PCX look very large.

CVT upgrade

CVT as a component of transmitting power to the wheels is one of the initial keys to boost the performance of the Honda PCX. There are many settings that you can find when choosing to play in this genre, pursuing acceleration, increasing topspeed, to simply making PCX more accommodating as needed, which can be targeted. Generally, the modified parts focus on the pulley and roller on the scooter. Replacing the pulley housing with roller innards that have a different weight than the standard, can change PCX's performance. It is even more qualified if you maximize the replacement of double canvases on the Honda PCX clutch component. Usually, modifications in this sector will greatly boost PCX's performance at the expense of its characteristic efficiency. Prepare a budget starting from IDR 350 thousand to IDR 1 million to upgrade the Honda PCX CVT components. Of course, the price can be different depending on the modif workshop.

Accessories Honda PCX160

The popularity of the Honda PCX has skyrocketed since the start of production localization in 2018, making aftermarket industry players take part in providing supporting components. Not a few also provide modification components that are plug n play which can be done by the owners themselves at home, without having to go to the workshop.

The cheapest accessories you can buy for PCX start from Rp. 100 thousand to millions of rupiah, depending on the brand and the number of parts installed. The important thing is to make sure the components you choose can indeed be used for PCX, otherwise you will sacrifice the originality of the motor during installation.

CVT Parts

These components are widely sold in the market at very affordable prices. The cheapest is usually for a roller or just per CVT. The price is in the tens of thousands. But if you choose to replace or modify the double canvas, it could touch hundreds of thousands. 'Gredek' or vibrating disease on PCX can also be solved by modifying this component. Kedai Riders, which is located in Tangerang, provides parts and modifications for PCX that can be tailored to your budget and needs.

Shock Ohlins

Ohlins is one of the biggest names in suspension manufacturing. This brand is even trusted by many MotoGP teams to maintain the quality of handling in the most prestigious motorcycle races in the world. They already have a suspension for PCX both the old version, and the latest. The price of a pair of Ohlins shock absorbers with very many settings, ranging from Rp. 8 million.

Windshieldx

Whatever year the Honda PCX was born, it usually has a wide selection of aftermarket windshields. The parts that are on the facade of this motorbike are indeed the target of modifications by the owners. The reason is that it is enough to just replace the windshield, the appearance of the motor can change. Many aftermarket brands already provide parts for PCX. The price of course varies, the cheapest is Rp. 200 thousand. The brands range from Geba, Sectbill, MM Customs, AF Motorsports, to OEM.

Honda Beat Modification

Two years after the birth of the first Honda automatic scooter in Indonesia, the Vario. In 2008, PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) released another new flagship in this segment. His nickname, Honda Beat. The target segment at that time was active youth. Represented from the selected brand ambassadors at that time were graduates from the talent search event in the music world, Indonesian Idol.

Dirly, Rini, Steve and Ghea were lined up to sing a single entitled 'Let's Get The Beat' by Maia Estianty. The jargon is no joke, 'Latest Scooter Idol'. Understandably at that time the most prominent in the automatic scooter market was the Yamaha Mio, which was several years earlier. No wonder if the name chosen is Beat, or Beat.

Honda Beat Modification

A glimpse of Beat history, this scooter is aimed at the lower segment of the Vario, so there are significant differences between the two. The difference between the two is in the design and the engine. Although both were released in 110 cc volumes, in fact the engine sector has almost completely changed.

There is no longer a radiator as a liquid cooling system like in the Vario. Instead there is a fan on the right side that was previously relied on by its predecessor automatic scooters such as the Yamaha Nouvo, Yamaha Mio or Kymco Jetmatic Trend 125.

Then, from the display sector, even though they both carry a sporty design with a sharp all-round impression on the corners of the body. However, the Vario has more gambot dimensions and a split headlamp model. On the other hand, Beat appears concise with a tiny headlamp that connects to the turn signal. In 2010 there was an update on the changes to the front fender which is now a duck model replacing the sport model in the previous version.

The first generation Beat engine capacity of 108 cc, SOHC 2-valve with a carburetor system and CVT belt drive. Its power is 8.22 PS per 8,000 rpm and 8.32 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The tank capacity is only 3.5 liters.

Starting in 2012, there is an injection version dubbed Beat PGM-FI. The change is in the fuel atomizer sector which displaces the carburetor system with injection in the same engine spec, 108 cc air cooler.

Then there are other changes to the body that are getting more aggressive in dealing with the size of the trunk under the seat. In 2014, there was another Beat eSP that improved the previous injection engine with the addition of the ACG Starter which was developed from the PCX gambot scooter and downgraded to the Vario 125. This made the starter sound smoother.

In 2016, as a celebration of the Beat's 10 millionth sales, this automatic scooter was refreshed again. This time the changes are in the body display and instrument cluster that combines analog and digital, as well as the Eco Indicator. The volume of the tank was increased to 4 liters.

Finally, there is a Beat change in 2020 with significant changes. Starting from the body design, engine to the chassis completely changed. The base uses the Genio variant. Where now the engine volume reaches 109.5 cc with a maximum power of 9 PS at 7,500 rpm and torque of 9.3 Nm per 5,500 rpm. The tank is now 4.2 liters. The lights are LED and the chassis uses a lightweight enhanced Smart Architecture Frame (eSAF) construction.

Interestingly, even though it has been around for more than 10 years, the intended target market remains the same until the latest generation of Beat in this latest version. However, because it is economical and the price is affordable, starting from Rp. 16,665-17,465 million (On The Road Jakarta), Beat users themselves are fairly broad in scope. Starting from young people, online motorcycle taxis, workers to mothers use it.

To be different, you can personalize your favorite Beat with the following changes. Starting from the wheel sector, tires, braking system, suspension to CVT upgrades to optimize performance.

Popular Modifications Honda Beat

Because of its sporty default shape, it's not difficult to make your Beat look different. Components that are often changed on the Beat include the 14-inch alloy wheels. In the market, many wheel manufacturers present their aftermarket products for the Beat.

Upgrades in the wheel sector are usually followed by changing tires with wider treads. Not infrequently, tire manufacturers offer variants with soft compounds and pattern designs that are designed to be more comfortable to control.

For performance, we recommend making changes in the CVT sector. Such as belts, rollers and other devices. Don't forget to also upgrade the braking and suspension if you want more optimal results. Modification fans often call it the Komorod flow, or Victims of the Road Race Mode. Modifications that refer to the appearance of a racing motorbike that can still be used legally on the highway.

Change Tires

Since its inception, Honda Beat has consistently used 14-inch tires. Precisely a combination of 80/90-14 up front and 90/90-14 behind. Since the fourth generation, Honda Beat has also been equipped with tubeless tires, which no longer need to use inner tubes. But in terms of modifications, of course the comfort and performance of the paved tread is being pursued. For that, you can choose tires with the same size as the standard, or combine 90/90-14 tires on both wheels to pursue comfort when cornering. Choose a sporty tire design with a pattern that in addition to treading perfectly when dry conditions, but also has a qualified drainage channel during the rainy season. For local brands, there are IRC Fasti Pro tires, Aspira Premio Sportivo, Aspira Premio Stretto, FDR Sport Zevo, Zeneos Victuro to Corsa R46. The selling price starts from IDR 200-300 thousand. Not a few tire manufacturers also offer products with soft compounds. Especially from world-class brands. Call it the Michelin Pilot Street Matic, Michelin Pilot MotoGP, Maxxis Victra, Maxxis Green Devil and Pirelli Diablo Scooter. The price is around IDR 270-400 thousand.

CVT upgrade

Upgrading the CVT device can be done to improve the performance of the Honda Beat. Indeed, not to get abundant power as is done with a bore up engine. But reliable enough to increase motor acceleration. CVT devices that can be changed from rollers, belts, CVT springs, clutch linings to CVT Assy. Various brands also offer their products. Like the TDR brand, which offers CVT Assy for IDR 900 thousand. This component consists of the roller housing, clutch housing, clutch bowl to the gear. Then from BRT, a package consisting of a roller and a belt is available for Rp. 170 thousand. Want to buy a keteng? Stop by Daytona, there are components per CVT for IDR 98 thousand, double canvas for IDR 125 thousand and rollers for IDR 40 thousand per 3 pieces.

Brake Upgrade

If acceleration increases, there's nothing wrong if braking is the target for the next upgrade. The lightest of course replace the default brake lining with aftermarket. Like TDR brake pads which are sold for Rp. 120 thousand. And the Daytona Superstock brand which was released for Rp. 35 thousand or Bendix for Rp. 40 thousand. For the front-rear brake package from Bendix, Rp 90 thousand is released. All brake linings offered from these brands can be used directly without changing any of the braking components, aka plug and play. If you want to pursue the display as well, then the disc disc can also be replaced. The TDR brand was released for Rp. 162 thousand and KTC Rp. 225 thousand. In addition, the use of calipers and master can be chosen in addition to increasing the motor's braking ability, it can also add a sporty impression. Like the Nissin calipers which are sold for Rp. 850 thousand, then the KTC 4P for Rp. 550 thousand to the Brembo brand for Rp. 3.5 million. There are several versions of the brake master component. Namely, those sold in the complete version with the brake tube for the right side only, such as the RCB which is sold for Rp. 395 thousand. Or the KTC brand which is sold completely for front and rear brakes for Rp. 1 million. Then there is the Nissin brand which is released in packages, in the form of calipers and brake masters for Rp. 1.45 million. Also Brembo type RCS14 which is sold for Rp. 4.5 million without brake fluid tube.

Honda Beat Accessories

In the market, accessories that help improve the performance and appearance of the Honda Beat are abundant and easy to find. It should be remembered, in addition to the need for visual coherence, it is also mandatory to do. Because instead of making the appearance and performance of the motorbike improve, it could be the opposite.

For this reason, the issue of need is a major consideration, in addition to appearance. For example, in replacing the aftermarket rear suspension, is it necessary to use a tube model or is it quite standard. As well as the choice of color and rim design, it is also mandatory to ensure that later the overall appearance does not look tacky and strange.

Standard Suspension

In the market, accessories that help improve the performance and appearance of the Honda Beat are abundant and easy to find. It should be remembered, in addition to the need for visual coherence, it is also mandatory to do. Because instead of making the appearance and performance of the motorcycle improve, it could be the opposite.

Tube Suspension Upgrade

In addition to the aftermarket suspension with the standard tubeless model, there is also a rear shock absorber with a tube which in addition to providing comfort and driving stability, also improves the appearance. Mainly those who pursue a sporty look on their favorite Beat. This tube serves as an air or oil reservoir. Usually the tube shock absorber is equipped with a hardness adjustment setting. So the selling price is more expensive than the standard version. In the market for tube-type shock absorbers, including the YYS Gold Series and KTC for IDR 1-1.25 million. And the highest is Ohlins tube type for IDR 4 million.

Rims

In the market, various aftermarket wheels can be chosen for Honda Beat users. The average size is wider than the standard. The designs also vary, there is a 5-spoke version similar to the initial generation standard alloy wheels offered by the SP522 type RCB. If you want a multispoke version, you can read RCB SP811. Modification of Honda Civic Type R

Present as a car that prioritizes performance, the Honda Civic Type R is an answer for Honda fans who are very enthusiastic about speed. The tenth generation Honda Civic with the birth code FK8R is the successor of the Honda line called the Type R which is destined to run fast from birth.

With a high-performance engine, the Honda Civic Type R is equipped with aerodynamic support attributes throughout its body. This has become a mandatory device embedded by Honda engineers to keep it stable and attached to the asphalt at high speeds.

Civic Type R Limited Edition

The wide body structure with sharp lines in the design makes the Honda Civic Type R have a very sporty appearance. Honda does clearly distinguish the design character between the more 'fierce' Civic Type R and the more 'polite and sweet' Civic Hatchback Turbo on which it is based.

The source of the Honda K Series runway is indeed well-known as the supplier of the most optimal power in the range of Honda's four-cylinder engines. The engine coded K20C1 Turbo under the hood of the Honda Civic Type R is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission with a tight ratio and Limited Slip Differential at the front wheels. This configuration produces 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque.

The official price of Rp 1.068 billion for a four-door hatchback is indeed considered very large. But this is the next generation of the legendary Honda Civic Type R, a hatchback that stays with four passengers but can be relied on for Track Day.

PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), which officially sells the latest generation of the Honda Civic Type R, is quite busy with greater demand than its sales quota. Therefore, in the future, this Honda Civic Type R could be a collector's hunt for high-spec cars fans.

Although it comes packaged with a sporty display device and a high-performance engine, the Honda Civic Type R is not forbidden to modify. Various aspects of the default standard, its capabilities can still be improved.

But keep in mind, the modifications made should consider several aspects. Among other things, driving safety, driving comfort and most importantly aesthetics.

Modification activities should also be supported by the responsibility of the rider. Continue to obey the applicable driving rules and still respect other road users when driving.

Popular Modifications Honda Civic Type R

The Honda Civic Type R comes out of the factory with a line of performance support devices. However, some owners are still not satisfied with the specifications provided by the manufacturer. Therefore modification is the next step taken by the owner to get personalization.

In order to improve the standard performance, modifications in the engine sector are the most common things done. Several steps can be taken, starting from the easiest, namely remapping or reflashing the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to replacing aftermarket ECU devices that have more setting parameters.

In addition to the ECU, modifications in the engine sector usually extend to the combustion sector which is made more optimal. The trick is to increase the ignition and supply of clean air to the combustion chamber and improve the performance of the fuel distribution line.

Streamlining the flow of exhaust gases is also an important sector in terms of improving the performance of the Honda Civic Type R. Replacement of exhaust devices can be done completely or partially starting from the center pipe, resonator to the rear muffler.

ECU Tuning

ECU reprogramming or Remapping or Reflashing is the easiest step in increasing engine performance. The parameter is to optimize combustion in every RPM range or engine speed including most commonly removing the speed limiter or speed limiter without dismantling the ECU hardware. This process costs around Rp. 6.5 million – Rp. 10 million for the EP Tune or Hondata Flash Pro application, including tuning on the dyno roller. A more serious version is the replacement of the standard ECU to a plug and play aftermarket ECU. The advantage of this aftermarket plug and play ECU is its ability to program more devices with a high degree of accuracy. For example, ignition timing, combustion, intake air flow in each RPM range as well as turbocharger blowing and engine cooling settings without changing engine wiring. The power output produced is much greater than simply changing the ECU chip. But don't be surprised, the costs also follow, around Rp. 125 million for the Motec M142 including installation and dyno tuning.

Ignition and Air Supply

Combustion in gasoline engines is very dependent on the amount of cold air that enters the combustion chamber and the amount of ignition during combustion. So replacing spark plugs with larger flames and a faster air supply system is the key to increased performance. Although the standard default for the Honda Civic Type R is a spark plug with the Laser Iridium type, in the aftermarket spark plug market with above-standard capabilities are also available with a price range of IDR 1.5 million for the HKS Super Fire alert. To increase the supply of clean air, replacement of Cold Air Intake (CAI) which includes air intake and open air filter to a larger intercooler is necessary. Replacement of the air intake and open air filter costs starting from Rp. 25 million for the Arma or HKS brand as well as replacing the intercooler made from billet alerts HKS or PRL ranging from Rp. 18 million – Rp. 23 million including pipes and installation.

Exhaust System

Exhaust gases from combustion in the engine as much as possible are blown out so that the engine can immediately reprocess combustion in the next step. Thus, replacing the exhaust system is necessary to speed up combustion. There are several brands on the market from locally made to well-known tuner manufactures. HKS, PRL, Remus to Spoon Sports have exhaust products that are intended for this Honda Civic FK8R. Replacement includes center pipe, resonator to rear muffer. This exhaust set can be redeemed starting from Rp. 20 million a set. HKS Legamax, PRL Exhaust & Remus Valvetronic

Accessories for Honda Civic Type R

Modifying the appearance is the easiest and cheaper thing to make over the Honda Civic Type R. The most instant is a change in appearance by replacing the rims with a massive choice of models on the market.

The standard 20-inch alloy wheels are already quite large. No need to replace it with a larger diameter, but you can replace it with another model that makes it look more 'fierce'. Some owners even downsize or replace the default rim with a smaller diameter, but wider for driving comfort and increasing control.
In addition to replacing rims, as an aesthetic complement, wheel nuts are usually replaced. In addition, aftermarket wheel nuts are lighter but have the same strength as standard wheel nuts. About the appearance, of course much different, especially if the wheel nut is a famous tuner alerts.

After finishing the affairs of the wheel rims and nuts, generally the suspension sector is the aspect affected by the modifications that have been made. Changes in this sector were made to support the aesthetic appearance by lowering the height of the Honda Civic Type R slightly, increasing its handling performance at high speeds and giving the wheels more traction on the asphalt.

Rims

Born with Japanese blood, the Japanese alert rims (wheels) are the most appropriate choice. Competition models with a 5x120 PCD wheel hub specification adapted for the Honda Civic Type R are widely available in the market. Interestingly, on average, manufacturers release circular rims slightly smaller than the standard rims for the Honda Civic Type R, namely ring 19 and ring 18, but wider with a safe offset in the fender space and lighter of course. If the Enkei RPF01 and Volk Rays TE37 are too market, then the next choice is the Volk Rays G025, Volk Rayz ZE40 or Volk Rays CE28. The price ranges from Rp. 45 million.

Civic Type R . Suspension

It is important for the Honda Civic Type R pembesut about precise control when maneuvering. Therefore, if the factory default suspension feels less qualified, many car owners replace it. The choice is a lowering kit or spring replacement alone, or complete with shock absorbers with height adjustment or coilover features. For lowering kits, replacements are generally carried out using Spoon Sports alerts with a price of around Rp. 10 million, while for coilover sets generally using Tein alerts with a price of Rp. 22 million.

Lug Nut

Although small, the replacement of the standard default wheel nuts is enough to improve the appearance of the legs. The wheel nuts which are usually applied in this competition car have a light weight but are strong enough to withstand the load of wheel rotation. One of the most famous is the production of Spoon Sports which is specifically designed for the needs of the Honda Civic Type R wheel hub. The price for a complete set for all four wheels is around Rp. 3.8 million.
