Ducati Launches New Family of Streetfighter V4s, One of Them Exclusive Version
In the fifth episode of the 2023 World Première series, Ducati launched a new family of Streetfighter V4s. In addition to the V4 and V4 S models, it also presents the V4 SP2, an exclusive and high-performance unit. This new version is an evolution of the "Fight Formula" that remains at the top of the segment with an unparalleled level of equipment.
Since its launch to the public in 2020, the Streetfighter V4 has been an immediate success and set a new performance benchmark in the super sport naked bike segment. He received a lot of appreciation for his aggressive and minimalist aesthetic. It is also marked by the front that is inspired by the Joker character in the comic series and immediately received by Ducati fans.
The natural evolution of this family is a motorcycle that adopts the concept of "Fight Formula". The key elements are the stripped Panigale V4 fairing, high and wide handlebars, weight 178 kg, a 208 hp Desmosedici Stradale engine, biplane wings and the latest generation of electronic packages.
Design
The new Streetfighter V4 style has evolved from previous editions. Use a full-LED headlamp and a V-shaped DRL reminiscent of the panigale V4 front display. The low part of the fascia makes this bike look more aggressive.

The streamlined radiator remains one of the best components, and serves as a functional support for the biplane wing. The Streetfighter shares a fuel tank with the Panigale V4, which is designed to support riders when braking and cornering. Its capacity has also increased to 17 liters and put on a new side cover.
The 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 exudes a sporty feel thanks to the single seater configuration. The seat is soft with a thickness of 2.4 inches, and makes the height of the seat increase by 33.3 inches compared to the previous model.
Wear the new Front Frame and the Desmosedici Stradale engine parts are left open as much as possible. The body panels are also classified as minimalist and sleek, creating a clean and essential style.
Electronic
The new Streetfighter V4 implements the power modes already developed in the panigale V4 and V4 S before it. It uses calibration dedicated to the Desmosedici Stradale engine but in a Streetfighter configuration. There are four machine delivery options: Full, High, Medium, Low.
Full power mode allows the engine to express torque curves without an electronic filter, except for first gear. For High and Medium power modes, the Ride by Wire map management system has been developed with special calibration to ensure the rider always gets the optimal boost every time the throttle is opened. Low power mode, designed to limit maximum power to 165 hp and offers highly configurable throttle response.
The 2023 version of the Streetfighter V4 gets a Wet Riding Mode, making riding safer on low-grip surfaces. The standard equipment is enriched with a lithium-ion battery for the S version (1.7 kg (3.7 lbs lighter) than the previous one and is already equipped on the V4 SP version.
The Streetfighter V4's dashboard is also new, following the evolution that the Panigale V4 uses. The graphics are revised in all views, to make the information simpler and more descriptive and support the calibration of various parameters.
Like the Panigale V4, gear changes are indicated through an external green LED signal. The dashboard offers a "Track Evo" display mode, replicating the layout used on the Desmosedici MotoGP and guaranteeing a direct view as well as intervention from electronic controls.
Software such as the Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO 2 has also been revised. This new component guarantees better stability, precision and direction in the braking and corner entry phases. This new strategy was developed to optimize the intensity of the engine brakes as a function of the load at the rear. Similarly, Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) increases the fluidity of gearshifts at every level of throttle opening, both when the throttle is parallelized and when fully open.
Finally, update the cooling fan control. It offers better operating temperature management and greater thermal comfort for riders.
Chassis and Ergonomics
The chassis also follows the evolution of the Panigale V4 family, to offer improved driving stability and safety. The new frame includes a front frame and a single-sided swingarm, both in aluminum material, with an inverted fork and mechanically adjustable shock absorbers on the standard V4 version.
The Streetfighter V4 S features semi-active Ohlins suspension (43 mm upside-down NIX30 fork and TTX36 shock absorbers) with a SmartEC 2.0 interface, improving versatility, effectiveness and speed in tuning. In addition, on the V4 S version, the Marchesini rims are forged in aluminum alloy with important benefits in terms of agility when changing direction and responsiveness when accelerating.
Just like the Panigale V4, the swingarm shaft is positioned 4 mm higher, helping the rider in terms of stability, precision, and a better ability to maintain when exiting corners.
The weight distribution also moves in the forward direction, to increase accuracy and speed when entering corners. Finally, the ergonomic benefits of the fuel tank layout. The form offers greater support to the rider when braking and cornering. The wet weight of the Streetfighter V4 S 2023 reaches 197.5 kg.
Machine
The 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 is powered by a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine. Equipped with a new damper that Ducati said reduces back pressure and optimizes performance. The official power figure is 208 Hp at 13,500 rpm, along with 123 Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm. Furthermore, Ducati says that 70 percent of the total torque is already available at 4,000 rpm.
Streetfighter V4 SP2
To boost the performance of the 2023 Streetfighter V4, Ducati also presents a top-of-the-range Streetfighter V4 SP2 model. A motor that is ready to go on the track, thanks to exclusive technical equipment. The unit combines the concept of "Fight Formula" with the "SP" specification, making it more effective when on circuit asphalt.
The Streetfighter V4 SP2 is offered in a "Winter Test" livery, designed by Ducati's Centro Stile and takes inspiration from the Ducati Corse bikes used during the Pre-season tests of the MotoGP and SBK Championships. The matt black color of the bodywork, combined with a matt carbon coating on the rims and wings, contrasts with the bright red accents and brushed aluminum tanks.
Ohlins alert wear suspension with identical springs and hydraulics to the Panigale V4. It is equipped with split-spoke carbon rims weighing 1.4 kg each. it's lighter than the forged aluminum mounted on the Streetfighter V4 S and is capable of reducing inertial moments by 26 percent at the front and 46 percent at the rear. Makes the motorcycle more agile and light when changing direction. The Brembo Stylema R front brake calipers also guarantee high braking power, as well as highly consistent performance even if used for a long time on the track.
On the Streetfighter V4 SP2 Desmosedici Stradale is equipped with a dry clutch STM-EVO SBK. Guarantees better clutch function, even on the most aggressive inclines, and more fluidity in all "off-throttle" phases.
