Honda ADV 160 Follows PCX, Yamaha Nmax is getting more depressed

Astra Honda Motor (AHM) released the ADV160 adventurous scooter which underwent major changes in the engine sector compared to the previous version, namely the ADV150. This product is Honda's third scooter to 'upgrade' from the kitchen runway sector, after previously the PCX and Vario 160.

President Director of AHM Keiichi Yasuda said the ADV160 is here as an answer to consumers' desire for a 160 scooter that is comfortable for adventuring.

"The excellent performance and features of this scooter support riders who have long-distance cruising range and provide driving power to explore various road conditions," said Yasuda, Friday (1/7).

Meanwhile, AHM Executive Vice President Director Johannes Loman said this change will add to the pleasure of driving through the ADV160.

"The new Honda ADV160 is now more robust, powerful, and also comfortable to drive. This scooter is the right choice for big scooter lovers who are tough and sturdy," said Loman.

ADV160 now on the rear side body has a wider cross section, and the front side body is sharper which makes the footrest (step floor) wider.

Changes in the shape of the side body increase the volume of the trunk. This model has 30 liters of storage space (up by 2 liters).

Then the full digital panel meter is now made new and has a large screen. Users can now get information on engine speed (tachometer/rpm meter) and trip duration (elapsed time). The adjustment buttons are separated and located between the handle bar and the meter panel.

Other information obtained on the panel meter includes battery indicator, outside temperature indicator (the first in its class), average fuel consumption, instant fuel consumption, engine oil change indicator, clock, Trip A and Trip B.

For the runway, the ADV 160 is now equipped with a 160cc 4 valve, liquid-cooled, eSP+ engine with a PGM-FI injection combustion system.

This new engine is capable of releasing power reaching 11.8 kW at 8,500 rpm and torque of up to 14.7 NM at 6,500 rpm.

For the ABS type, the ADV160 is now equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) technology.

The Honda ADV160 is marketed in two types, ABS and CBS and a total of 6 color variants. The ABS type is marketed at Rp. 39.25 million and CBS to Rp. 36 million. The price is already on the road in Jakarta.
