Hyundai Palisade Wants a Facelift, Here's the Leak

 Hyundai is reportedly preparing an update on their Palisade SUV. The plan is that the Palisade update will be available on April 13, 2022 tomorrow. Many changes are given to the large SUV.

At least this is what Hyundai leaked some time ago via their own YouTube account. When they were about to do a live broadcast, they displayed a photo of the latest Hyundai Palisade and showed the changed shape of the SUV.

The front view has changed completely. From the previous form of trapezoidal with a touch of chrome, now follows the design language of Hyundai's signature parametric jewel grille. The front fascia is covered in three-dimensional ornaments, especially in the grille, lower bumper, and the position of the lights. The Palisade's signature LED, which is in the form of a vertical boomerang, has been retained, but now the lines are more upright and the headlights are positioned at the bottom. The legs use a new rim design in the form of turbine blades.

From other leaks, this latest Palisade will get a new design touch on the rear bumper, dashboard, center console and steering wheel. There are also new color offerings and certain trims to emphasize this update.

Another feature, the 10.25-inch head unit was previously changed to 12.3 inches. There is also a Full Display Rearview Mirror to show various camera angles. The use of glass with hydrophobic features, Remote Smart Park Assist, digital lock, and more advanced voice command capabilities. There are also additional Bluelink features and also Tow Mode features.

More fully, the list of changes to the exterior of the Palisade includes front and rear bumpers, front grille, headlights and DRL, wheels and the presence of auto dimming side mirrors. Changes in the interior include the upper dashboard, instrument cluster and audio display design, buttons for AVN, floor console trim, steering wheel and upholstery material.

Regarding safety features, the latest Palisade will get an update on its Hyundai SmartSense. This SUV features autonomous emergency braking for cyclists, there is also Crossing traffic and oncoming vehicle detection, and blind spot collision avoidance. Another feature is Highway Driving Assist II, which is a level 2 semi-autonomous capability that comes with a lance change assist feature. Additionally, AEB and curve speed control features in addition to adaptive cruise control are standard on this new model.

For the United States market, there are no changes to the engine. Palisade still uses a 3.8 liter NA V6 MPI engine that produces 295 PS of power. This engine is offered along with a 2.2 L four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 200 PS of power and 441 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed transmission and a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

There is no news regarding the arrival of this SUV update in Indonesia. The Palisade is offered starting at IDR 795 million for the Prime variant, IDR 907 million for the Signature variant and IDR 1.045 billion for the AWD Signature variant.
