Constrained by Logistics, Kawasaki's New Products Failed to Launch in Indonesia This Year

www.informationautomotive.com - PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia (KMI) had expressed plans to launch its new motorcycle again before closing in 2021. But the agenda must be canceled because of logistical problems aka the delivery of units.

Deputy Head & Sales Promotion of PT KMI Michael Chandra Tanadhi said, with the very forced procession of kawasaki new motorcycle launch in Indonesia must be shifted no later than the first quarter of next year.

"A few months ago we launched the new Ninja ZX-10R and there are plans to be two new products. But there are constraints in logistics and the launch plan must also change the time, at least in the first quarter (2022)," he said.

While 1 more product, continued Michael, will be hatched in the second quarter of 2022. All products that will launch in Indonesia status is CBU (Completely Built Up) aka imported whole.

When alluded to what products will be prepared later, he was reluctant to talk further. Only he ensured that the product that will be launched later is more affordable than the Ninja ZX-10R but more expensive than the Ninja ZX-25R. Most likely the model carries a 650 cc engine.

"I'll tell you now, it's no surprise. Be patient and just wait, yes," he said.

The latest generation has been launched at the EICMA 2021 automotive exhibition in Milan, Italy. The motorcycle (moge) touring adventure now has a sportier look.

The fascia part of the latest Versys 650 is revised from the previous model. The headlamp model now follows a patent from the Ninja family. While fairing also changed, the manufacturer gave more sharp strokes so that it appeared more sporty.

To support the comfort of long-distance driving, windscreen components can now be arranged up to 4 levels adjusting to the needs and height of the rider. Handlebars with wide and high dimensions are still maintained, the characteristics of adventurous motorcycles that have high economy. 

In terms of features, the new Versys 650 is now equipped with Kawasaki Traction Control which has 2 different options according to the needs of the rider. Interestingly, this feature can also be disabled for a more savage sensation.

Next is the application of a full color TFT meter panel with a 4.3-inch screen span that contains a lot of important information from the vehicle. All lights have also now adopted full LED lighting.
